In 2025, you gave $5,056,797 - 80 percent of our budgeted goal - to support missions and ministries. This is the highest percentage we have achieved since 2016.

Because of this exemplary generosity, people around the world receive better access to medical care, food, and education. Our churches receive theologically trained clergy, support for planning worship and preaching, leadership training for laypeople, spiritual formation resources, grants for ministries with neighbors, useful webinars, and more. Check out the 2025 financial report and learn about more of our shared achievements in generosity. Read more.

Prairie Central friends,

We were disappointed that travel complications prevented us from meeting with Rev. Jim Ozier in person on Jan. 31, but we gained valuable insight from his Zoom teaching and shared learning. A recording of the session and related resources are now available online for those who missed the event or wish to revisit its message.

Check out this article to read more of Jim’s wisdom and experience.

Jim will be back with us in person on Sun., May 3, for Part 2 of our Prairie Central District Leadership Event! See the details below and click on the image for more information.

Thanks to all of the pivoting from our District Shepherding Team, Conference Staff, and churches, and from all of our participants.

Praying for you and your congregations as you live out our United Methodist vision to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously!

In Christ,

DS Wendy Hardin Herman

Prairie Central District Superintendent

A Year of Practicing Hope Devotionals

The NIC on Discipleship and Spiritual Formation has released A Year of Practicing Hope, a new devotional booklet created for 2026.
