Featuring insights from top Canadian athletes like Marie-Alex Bélanger, Damian Warner, and Marissa Papaconstantinou, the program includes eight short modules, culminating in a certificate of completion. Funded by the Canadian Olympic Committee’s Return to Sport grant, this initiative is open to all youth athletes, regardless of sport.

Encourage your athletes to take advantage of this important resource—Learn more and register today at www.safesportforyouth.org.

Please note that the Zero Tolerance Policy will be in place at Volleyball Alberta Premier Tournaments and Provincials. It acts to maintain a safe and positive environment that is appropriate for youth sports. Thank you to our volleyball community for your continued support in following the policy and contributing to a respectful and positive experience for everyone involved.

Volleyball Alberta is proud to announce the 4th Annual Women in Officiating Weekend (WOW), from Friday, March 21, 2025, to Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, AB. While the weekend is dedicated to empowering and supporting women referees, it’s an event that reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering growth, inclusivity, and strength within the entire Volleyball Alberta community. Highlights include an interactive speaker's panel on Friday night and officiating at the VA Premier 15U and 18U girls’ tournament. This is a chance for us to come together and show our support for the incredible women who shape the future of officiating in Alberta.

Blue Whistle Campaign

If their whistle is blue, be kind, they're new! The Blue Whistle represents a commitment to sportsmanship and respect for all referees, regardless of age or experience.

When you see a Blue Whistle, pause and reflect -

your support helps ensure the future of youth sports.
