Mark Your Calendars: City Council Public Hearing on TCGIS Forced Historic Designation is March 20

On March 20th, TCGIS will be on the City Council agenda for a public hearing on the historic designation application.  Public testimony will be allowed at this meeting.  Before this hearing it will be critical that we get as many letters of support for TCGIS and AGAINST historic designation as possible from all parents, family members, neighbors and supporters.  Please consider writing a letter for each parent/adult in your household, and engaging your family members and friends to help as well. The volume of letters for and against Historic Designation is an important part of the record.  Letters are being accepted now, so please start writing to your city council members and the mayor today!  If you're not sure which Ward you live in, visit this site:

MCA Assessments at TCGIS

This spring TCGIS will participate in MCA Assessments. TCGIS views the MCA Assessments as another data point in creating a mosaic of our students' academic progress in school and therefore encourages all students to participate. Parents do, however, have the right to "opt out" of the MCA Assessments by filling out this form. Please return completed forms to the Front Office. Click here to view the 2019 MCA schedule. Please contact Mike Mullins with any questions.
Please Ensure Your Contact Information is Up to Date!

Have you recently moved to a new address or changed your telephone number? Do you need to update the emergency contact information for your student? Please remember to email  info@tcgis.org  with all important changes throughout the school year.

Lost and Found - Please Label Your Child(ren)'s Items!

Our Lost & Found baskets are literally overflowing with outerwear this time of year. Please label your child(ren)'s clothing - any item she/he may take off during the day - with first and last names and his/her class. When items are labeled, your child(ren) can quickly identify his/her item faster in the lost and found, and others can help return them to your child as well. THANK YOU!
