ACT WorkKeys Exam: February 22-23
Submitted by Robert Carrington
Annually, North Carolina administers the ACT WorkKeys Career Readiness Test to 11th and remaining 12th-grade students who have completed two or more CTE classes, one of which is a second-level course. This is a state-required exam for all students who qualify.
WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system that helps students compare their skills to the skills real jobs require. Students who achieve proficiency on the WorkKeys examination will earn a National Career Readiness Certificate. They are awarded at four levels – bronze, silver, gold, and platinum – based on an individual's scores on the three tests.
WorkKeys will be administered to qualifying 11th and 12th-grade students online in the Media Center on Thursday, February 22, and Friday, February 23, 2024. Students will be notified in their homeroom on which day they will be testing. Students must bring a charged Chromebook, calculator, and a School ID or Driver's License.
