Propane Market Update

Each week during the heating season (October 8, 2025 – March 25, 2026), TPGA will share the U.S. Department of Energy’s Winter Propane Market Update from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).


The update includes regional propane inventories, propane pricing, NOAA temperature projections, and heating degree data from NPGA.

The EIA collects pricing data from select propane retailers and wholesalers nationwide, including Texas, which is summarized regionally below:

FMCSA Hours of Service Waiver (Texas)

In late January 2026, FMCSA granted a 40‑state emergency Hours‑of‑Service waiver, which included Texas. That waiver is active through the end of this week.


Declaration(s) Timeline(s):

· Original waiver: January 23, 2026 – February 6, 2026

· Extension period: February 6, 2026 – February 20, 2026

Please note: FMCSA recently granted an extension for states experiencing prolonged inclement weather. This did not include Texas.
