New Hours Waiver for Texas Issued

At TPGA's request, the Texas DPS has declared a statewide emergency due to the extreme cold and supply point issues, granting temporary exemptions from Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (Parts 390-399). Effective February 20, 2025, at 12:01 a.m., the declaration waives hours-of-service restrictions (49 CFR Part 395.3) for motor carriers delivering propane and home heating oil in Texas.

It remains in effect for the duration of the emergency or five days, ending February 25, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., whichever is shorter.
