News Circling the Square
Take 2 - The rescheduled 3rd Annual Dedham Square Crawl is tomorrow night, Feb. 4th! It's a guaranteed fun night out, a great way to support our local businesses and raise funds for two worthy charities. Proceeds from sales of T-shirts and raffle tickets will be donated to the Nicole Ahl Memorial Fund and Dedham 4 on the 4th/Rally for Sally. There is no cost to attend and all are welcome! The Crawl kicks off at 6 pm and goes until midnight with a wrap-up party and live music in the lobby of the Dedham Community Theatre. Come for the whole evening or stop by for a while! Sponsored by Dedham Square Circle.

New Biz - A new retail shop is coming to the Square! Boston General Store will  open at 626 High Street next to nest.  Their Grand Opening event is on Sat. Feb. 11 from 7-10 pm. Click here to read more!

Yogi & Boo-boo

I'll Toast to That - Big Bear Cafe has a new toast on their menu, "Yogi & Boo-boo". Avocado, cucumbers, mixed, dressed greens and housemade hummus, on seeded wheat toast. It's smaaarrrter than the average toast.

Here's the Scoop - Only 26 more days until Ron's Ice Cream reopens in the Square for the season! Ron and his team are working on some renovations to the shop but you'll have to wait until March 1st to check them out.! It's a sure sign that spring is on its way when Ron's reopens.

Did you know? Mocha Java was bought by Peter Reynolds and is now officially part of The Blue Bunny Books & Toys! Books and coffee has been a hit with customers of all ages! Check out the new window bar where you can sit, sip and watch the world go by. MJ offers a Coffee Break Special daily from 10 am-Noon, buy one beverage, get one 1/2 off, or a dollar off a single cup!

  
Work in Progress - Construction and prep work continue for the two new restaurants in the Square, Oscar's Pub which will be located next to Dedham House of Pizza, and Horse Thieves Tavern, which will be in the former Wardle's space. Both are slated to open this spring. Stay tuned for more details.

Big News For Foodies - This spring Blue Ribbon BBQ will open its third location at 350 Washington St. in the new building at the corner of High and Harris Streets. BRB has locations in Arlington and Newton and has won Boston Magazine's "Best of Boston" awards multiple times!

- The Friends of the Dedham Library are holding a book sale on Sat. 2/11 from 10-3 and on Mon. 2/13 from 10-6 Great deals on paperbacks, hardcovers, audio books, CDs and movies. The DPL offers monthly lectures, workshops, IT assistance and more - all free. Click here for more info.
 
Free February Films
- First Church of Dedham will be hosting its February Justice Movie Matinee Series again this year. Films are free and will be shown Sundays at 2 pm in the Parish Hall. Donations are accepted and Refreshments will be for sale.


Campaign Party - Head to Deli After Dark on Mon. Feb. 13 at 7 pm to help kick off the campaign to pass the Community Preservation Act in Dedham. Light snacks, cash bar and the 411 on why CPA is a win-win for our town! Hosted by Preserve Dedham.

Time for a Story - Preschool Story Times are held at The Blue Bunny every Monday and Tuesday at 10:30 am with a few short stories followed by a simple craft. The Dedham Public Library also hosts a drop-in story time for all ages at 10:30 am on Tuesdays at the Main Library and on Wednesdays at the Endicott Branch. All are welcome. Free!

Live Tunes - The Dedham Square Coffeehouse has another fantastic lineup of live music this month featuring some of Greater Boston's best local talent. Shows every Friday and Saturday night starting at 8:30. No cover! Click here for show schedule.

Vacation Excitation - February school vacation is just around the corner.  Wondering what to do with the kids? The DCH has got you covered! From Tues. 2/21 - Fri. 2/24 their school vacation week program offers kids activities such as sports, arts & crafts, science and more. The week ends with a pizza party! Go for one day or all four. Date Night - DCH is also offering a fun Saturday Night Kids Club, a great babysitting option for parents who want a kid-free night on the town. Sat. 2/11.
