Join us as we dedicate our Shabbat to learning how we can support refugees here in New York. We will have a refugee guest speaker on the bimah, and after the service there will be an Oneg in the Schafler Forum with information tables staffed by organizations that help refugees. Stronger Together: Advocacy and Action

You are invited to a convening of the CRS community to plan steps to advocate and act on our deepest values. Just a few weeks following the Women's Marches around the country and the world, stand up and add your voice again. Whether you marched or not, join us to harness our energy and create meaningful actions when issues that matter to us are under assault.

The Society for the Advancement of Judaism is offering training on what to do when you witness harassment of others.  This training is sponsored by the Muslim Jewish Solidarity Committee and Congregation Rodeph Sholom.
Chamber Music at CRS

Join us for another lovely chamber music concert. Chamber Music @ CRS will be joined by Cantor Rebecca Garfein.  The program features music from composers Eliot Bailen, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. Refreshments will be served before the concert.

E-Advocacy for February: Oppose the Unjust Refugee and Immigration Ban
 
The United States turned its back on thousands of Jewish refugees during WWII because some members of Congress argued there might be spies who would threaten our national security among the Jews fleeing Nazi-occupied Europe.

The new President is singing the same tune - he just substituted "Muslims" for "Jews."

Sisterhood Volunteer Project: Days for Girls
At The Church of St. Matthew & St. Timothy

Days for Girls is a grassroots non-profit that gives feminine hygiene kits to 400,000 girls and women worldwide who live in poverty. Sisterhood at CRS has joined with volunteers at The Church of St. Matthew and St. Timothy to make kits to distribute to girls and women in need in New York City.
