We are pleased to welcome two new members to our team!
Mac Walton joins us as our new Resiliency Coordinator after a teaching adventure in the Himilayan Kingdom of Bhutan, and having taught Grade 6 for a year in Sundre, AB.
Scott Bailey is our new School Health Facilitator, and joins us after four years teaching grade 5/6 at Banded Peak School in Bragg Creek, AB. 
We are excited that our team has grown and are looking forward to a new dynamic and set of unique skills that will contribute to a healthy, active Alberta! Click here to view their bios!
New Aquatic Resource!

Want to be more intentional with your students/participants in the water? Check out this brand new resource:  Dip, Dive & Glide: Immersing Physical Literacy in Aquatic Activities! This Comprehensive aquatic resource is targeted at K-8 or 6-13 yrs, but can be modified for other ages. With eleven games, information about physical literacy, tips on partnering with local community pools & recreation centres, safety considerations and more, this resource will help you out when you're in the pool with students and ask yourself, "now what?!"

EAS at Teachers' Conventions
Join us as we visit Teachers' Conventions across the province this February and March as we offer professional learning on topics ranging from creating a community of wellness and building capacity for social and emotional learning, to daily physical activity and activity permissive learning spaces! These evidence-based learning opportunities are guaranteed to be engaging and will provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding to implement new and innovative ideas into your daily teaching. Remember, funding is available to support student ideas! In an effort to support ideas, school teams have the opportunity to apply for the chance to receive up to $500. With this support, it is our hope to help expand the amazing ideas that students often have, and to limit the barriers that occasionally occur along the way.

Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds School Ground Greening Grants

Transforming the Outdoor Landscape of Canada's Schools:
The Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds program helps schools create outdoor classrooms to provide students with a healthy place to play, learn and develop a genuine respect for nature. Since the program began in 2000, it has provided funds to over 3,000 schools from coast to coast, providing countless opportunities for students to engage with nature on their school grounds.
