Know what should go down the drain that is sewer safe!
Know the three P's of What2Flush
The toilet is only meant to flush the three P's-pee, poop and (toilet) paper. Human waste and toilet paper should be the only thing going down the toilet. Unfortunately, over the years, people have turned the toilet into a trash can. From medications and sanitary products to deceased pet fish and cigarette butts, if it fits, people flush it.

Flushing these types of items down the toilet causes home pipes to clog, wastes water (up to 5 gallons of water every time you flush) and most importantly can have a huge impact on our sewers and not to mention our waterways.

Below is a list of items that people commonly flush that should not be going down the toilet. Sanitary Products, Paper Towels, Diapers, Baby Wipes and Facial Tissues-are made of materials that don't break down and can cause all pipes to clog. The trash is the place for these items.

February 2018 Board of Directors Meetings
The Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, people_board_meeting.jpg February 8, 2018, and it will hold its Regular Meeting on Thursday, February 15, 2018.  Both meetings will start at 7:00 PM and will be held in the District's Administration & Maintenance Building, 9985 Towner Avenue, Falcon.  All meetings are open to the public.

Presidents Day Holiday
mt_rushmore.jpg The District's offices will be closed on Monday, February 19, 2018 in observance the Presidents Day Holiday.  Water and/or sewer emergencies may be reported by calling 719-795-8188 and selecting option 9.
Board of Directors Election
Election on May 8, 2018
The Regular Election of the Board of Directors will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.  The District is accepting Self-Nomination and Acceptance forms from eligible electors of the District.
Board to Consider Commercial Irrigation Rates
At the request of Falcon School District 49, the Board of Directors will consider setting commercial irrigation water rates for the Falcon Middle School and the Bennett Ranch Elementary School.  This will require the installation of separate irrigation only meters at each of these sites at no cost to the District.  This is a common practice among other metropolitan districts and municipalities.  Continue reading . . .
Change Address on Your Online Bill Pay 
Please remember to change the District's mailing address to 9985 Towner Ave., Falcon, CO 80831 when paying your bill using your bank's online bill payment service.  Since the District's forwarding with the postal service has expired, payments addressed to the District's previous address may be returned to the sender.
New District Website
The District's new website went live on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.  Aside from its more attractive appearance, the new website features easier customer navigation and a more user-friendly experience.  The frequently accessed features, including Agendas & Minutes, Financial Information, and Online Bill Pay, will be directly accessible from every page of the website. Wells 3 & 4 Restoration in Progress
The District's well and pump contractor, Layne Christensen, started the second phase of restoring Wells 3 & 4 on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 by starting the rehabilitation of Well #3.  Phase 2 includes cleaning and videoing both wells.  Layne Christensen had previously completed the videoing of both wells to determine their condition. Meeting Notices & Agenda Posting Locations
With the move to the District's Administration & Maintenance Building, the District has changed the locations where Meeting Notices are posted.  The new posting locations are:
  • District Administration & Maintenance Building, 9985 Towner Ave., Falcon
  • North Manchester Park, Northeast Corner of Litchfield St. & Londonderry Dr.
  • Drayton Green Park, Northwest Corner of Carrington Dr. & Rockingham Dr.
Meeting Notices are posted at least 72 hour before a Board Meeting.
Real Estate Development  & Construction Update
Home building started in Filings 13B, 13C & 13D
Aspen View Homes has purchased 50 lots and is purchasing an additional 50 lots in Filing 13 development.  Richmond American Homes has purchased 58 lots.  Campbell Homes is purchasing 30 lots.

Aspen View Homes and Richmond American Homes have started new home construction in the development.

Bennett Ranch Elementary School
Construction continues according to schedule on the Bennett Ranch Elementary School with its planned opening in the Fall of 2018.  New left-turn lanes have been added to westbound Londonderry Drive and Towner Avenue, and to the entrance of the Falcon Middle School in preparation for increased traffic into the schools.
