Breaking Through Barriers
Goals can feel out of reach when you don't know where to begin, or previous attempts to achieve them have been unsuccessful. AANE offers programs and services that provide experience, perspective, and a plan for constructive action to address challenges that may have become barriers to success. From parent groups and coaching (whether your child is young or an adult) , to activities and support groups for adults on the spectrum , to education opportunities for professionals, AANE can give you insight to identify barriers and help you create the tools to find a path forward.

Sometimes the inability to let go of certain reflections or catastrophic thinking can be a barrier to progress. AANE's Executive Director, Dania Jekel, talks about dwelling on negative thoughts in this month's video and shares some ideas that may help to release them.
Low self-esteem can be another road-block to reaching goals. AANE is addressing this crucial topic in the up-coming conference on April 7 . Please take a moment to take our self-esteem survey to share your experience anonymously. The results will be delivered during the conference and published on the AANE website.

As always, send your questions or subject suggestions to: CoachingCorner@aane.org.
