As you may have guessed from our January newsletter or our most recent
posts, we have some big news to share. We’re excited to announce that we are in the midst of construction on our second US National Team Training Facility! Located in nearby Cornelius, the new space has more than 32,000 sq. ft. and will house state-of-the-art equipment, larger competitive teams and recreational programs. We officially broke ground on January 10
and are hoping to open in March.
Want more fun facts? There will be elevated mezzanine seating with a viewing area for parents and designated areas for recreation, training and competitions. The new space will include equipment required for Elite and Olympic-level gymnasts, allowing us to increase our quality of training, including dual competition-style spring floors, a Resi-pit for practicing landings at high speeds, and a Rod floor and tumble strips for safer power tumbling training.
What does this mean for our Everest family?
- Upon opening our new training facility, we will be opening up additional spots on our competitive teams, allowing us to welcome more athletes into our family.
- Our new location will also offer more spots in our recreational classes, preschool gymnastics, afterschool program and a homeschool gymnastics program.
- Our growing family will also include new coaches and staff. Contact us HERE if you or someone you know would be interested.
- As the year progresses, we will look into adding parkour training, a dance program and aerial silk classes to our repertoire.
Stay tuned for updates on our progress, and the announcement of a grand opening celebration.
See you at the ribbon-cutting!
