Elected Officials Discuss Issues Essential to
Older Adults at Annual Legislative Breakfasts
The Legislative Breakfast at
Kenneth Young Center

Elected officials and representatives of area senior service agencies came together again this year to discuss issues facing older adults and hear how they and those who serve older adults and caregivers can support each other. AgeOptions and our community partners sponsor the breakfasts each year.

Connections are the heart of what we do. They include our partner community organizations, our sponsors and supporters, the communities we serve and the national and state organizations that support our work, as well as the participants in our programs and the older adults and caregivers who are our clients.

Did You Know?

AgeOptions and our community partners served 161,932 individuals in the 2018 fiscal year. That's a four percent increase from 2017.

New Memory Cafes Are a Gathering Place for
Older Adults with Memory Concerns
And Their Caregivers

Memory Cafes are welcoming places for older adults with memory concerns and their care partners. The cafes provide a relaxing, engaging space to socialize, participate in activities and obtain resources regarding dementia and services available in the community. AgeOptions is collaborating with our funded Congregate Meal Sites and Caregiver Resource Centers to pilot 21 Memory Cafes across suburban Cook County.
