Lawrence Central Class of 1998
, currently serves as the President and COO of Morales Group, Inc. Morales Group is a staffing agency that has placed more than 50,000 associates throughout the Midwest. Building a globally diverse workforce is key to their success and Seth has played a major role in helping the business' growth.
According to the IBJ article, Seth's biggest inspiration moment was "Catching the game-winning touchdown pass from Drew Brees to beat Ohio State and eventually win the Big Ten Championship and play in the Rose Bowl." One of his major achievements is building 16 homes in Mexico as a company give back. Congrats Seth on this well-deserved honor.
Lawrence Central Class of 1998
, is the co-founder of
Homesense Heating and Cooling
, a HVAC business in Indianapolis, and
, the first co-working space in the country focused on trades and home services. After a try at the corporate environment, Brian decided it wasn't for him. After some time in Mexico, Brian moved back to Indy and put his entrepreneurial spirit to work and opened his HVAC business.
Brian shared with IBJ, "My time in Cabo and its exposure to a diversity of thinking and cultures reset my vision for what is possible." We are so happy that Brian had the vision to create this co-working space to help others.
Lawrence North Class of 2006
, is the founder of ProAct Indy, an organization that engages at-risk youth in public service. From starting with 11 kids to now impacting over 10,000, Derrin has a knack for engaging community and corporate partners in his mission of helping kids.
Derrin's inspirational moment was when he was in college and lacked the understanding about who he really was. He participated in a mission trip to Botswana where he had to speak in front of more that 200 people. Since most of Derrin's insecurity came from a struggle with stuttering, this was not a easy thing to do. To everyone's surprise, he told a story without a stammer. We are so proud that Derrin now helps others find themselves in his work with at-risk youth.

NEW Restaurant, New Silent Auction Item
Many of you might recognize the familiar face of Rolonda Brown, because she has spent time in a few of our schools. Ro started her career with MSDLT as a custodian at Lawrence Central. From there, she moved to Lawrence North. When Sunnyside opened, she became the building manager at the new school. From Sunnyside, Ro moved to Belzer for a couple of years. The MSDLT Payroll and Human Resources Departments also benefited from her hard work. Since 2008, Ro has been a part of the Operations Department, where sh
e still works today.
Rolonda and her husband, Glenn, recently acquired the former Elbow Room where they divided the space into 3 different dining spaces under the umbrella name of The Point on Penn. Downstairs will be Parkview, a casual breakfast, lunch, and after-work gathering spot. An additional area on the ground floor, T
he Flatiron, will offer upscale dinner service. On the second floor, you will be able to book wine experiences and private events in the Wine Cellar.
Glenn, who is an accomplished chef and has been with the Country Club of Indianapolis since 1999 and teaches at Ivy Tech, will serve as the executive chef at The Point on Penn. Rolonda, who earned an AAS in Culinary and Pastry Arts, will be the pastry chef.
Want to check out this great dining experience? Why not bid on the
