Some students in Grade 5 continue to do check-ins and discussions around mean-ness, bullying, and what to do about it when it occurs. Regular meetings with pairs and small groups of students of all ages in Mr D’s office carry on, with issues ranging from friendships to figuring out reasonable and feasible solutions to what are perceived as Big Problems. Collaboration continues with AHS, YWCA, RCMP and FCSS to add support and bring more awareness and health into our school. In the next month we look forward to putting ideas i
nitiated by some Grade 8 students
into action with the hope of shifting some of the "negative" culture of words and actions to something more supportive. This will be spearheaded by the students and done with the support of administration, teachers and RFTS.... which is perfect timing considering this month there will be lots of talk of inclusion and diversity around Pink Shirt Day. Looking forward to it all!
