Dear Center for Irish Music friends & supporters,

Our "Spring term" - named as such because it goes through the lovely month of May - began with one minor glitch when we shut the doors for two days due to the deep freeze. Minnesota's cold temps even made the headlines in Ireland!

Despite the unpredictability of the week, we are gaining momentum with preparations for Éigse CIM, A Gaela Event, just 21 days away! There are still lots of tickets available, and we are planning on filling every seat for this unforgettable evening in support of traditional Irish music education. Thanks to the volunteers, table sponsors, and silent auction and raffle donors who have already contributed to the success of the event.

Be sure to check out the many Irish music concerts coming up soon at the Celtic Junction Arts Center (including two Eileen Ivers shows on Feb. 9th, Téada on March 10th and Dylan Foley on April 7th) and other venues around the Twin Cities as we approach the St. Patrick's Day season. With a family focus, concerts at CJAC are FREE for kids under 18.

Finally, the Center for Irish Music is collaborating with the Ordway Center for Performing Arts to promote the Cherish the Ladies concert on Thursday, March 21st (more information about $5 tickets below) with a workshop at the CIM on Wednesday, March 20th.

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you soon.

Sincerely,
Norah Rendell
Executive Artistic Director
Center for Irish Music
