Thank You Families!
Last week we all made it through the bone-chilling Polar Vortex! Without skipping a beat, programs and services are now back to business and we thank our families for jumping right back in with us! With some creative scheduling, most missed classes have make-up dates planned. Looking for signs of summer? The Summer Experience catalog comes out February 22nd!
Welcome New Inclusion Coordinators!
Please join us in welcoming Molly O'Brien and Jeanine Wroge as our new Youth and Family Inclusion Coordinators!

Molly, as many of you know, is currently one of our Inclusion Liaisons for Kids' SAFARI and Early Learners Academy. She has worked in the district in various roles since 2010, including as a paraprofessional and activity assistant with our Early Learners Academy. We are very excited to have Molly in this new role!

Jeanine comes to us with a wealth of experience working with students requiring inclusion support. She has worked for the Comfort Autism Center and Innovative Services, Inc. as a Behavioral Specialist where she mentored and led youth activities. She has also worked as a Personal Care Assistant for a student with complex medical needs. Jeanine has a Masters in Recreation Management and Adventure Education. She will be a wonderful addition to our team!

Both Molly and Jeanine began their new roles on January 7th. Please join us in welcoming them to our team!

Congratulations to Michelle Glynn, our Enrichment and Marketing Coordinator, on her certification as a Certified Program Planner through the Learning Resource Network (LERN). Bloomington Bookfest
We are getting excited as we are counting down the days to Bloomington Bookfest. The big event will be on Saturday, March 2 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Middle School. All families are invited and best of all, the event is FREE!

Local book authors Nancy Carlson and Douglas Woods will be leading presentations on their writing processes as well as highlighting some of their illustration work. Nancy is a Bloomington resident and some of her featured works are "I Like Me!" and "Sometimes You Barf." Douglas currently lives in Minnesota and is best known for his book "The Old Turtle." He is also an extraordinary musician.

More fun book-centered activities are being planned as vendors representing our SLAM Camps will be on hand to demonstrate some of the camp activities children can participate in this summer. We encourage everyone to snap a photo in our photo booth and share at #Bloomingtonbookfest.

We are still looking for a few more volunteers to assist. If you are interested, click this link:
