Lowell School District Newsletter
February 2019
A Message from Mr. Matthews

I am still in awe of what a great job I have. I not only get to see students and staff on a daily basis, I also get to go behind the scenes and ensure that we have the best schools and district in the state.

Our staff are rejuvenated and ready to begin 2019. Changes are in the works this year and you will notice that the district will be very busy over the summer. So far we are on target to break ground in early June with the many projects that are going to take place. This has been a long process so far; however, we are very excited for the months that lay ahead.

You may have noticed that the football field lights are in during these winter months. They will be on from 5:00-7:00 pm on weekdays in an effort to provide a safe, well lit place for families to jog or walk during these dark winter months.

As I write this letter, I want to take time to thank all the families, staff, and community for ensuring that the Lowell School District is and will continue to be an exceptional educational community that puts students first! We are continually trying to find ways to offer options for families and students.

Not only are we on the move, but we are well on our way!

Honoring Maggie Osgood

Maggie Osgood was a tireless supporter of our students, our schools and our families. Maggie was also a driving force behind the Bond Campaign for Lowell School District in lending her support, her words and her voice to the cause. We here at Lowell are deeply saddened with her loss. Thank you Maggie for all you did for our students and community.
