The Guild Hosts Renowned Artist
Richard M Parrish

The glass department was very excited to bring in one of the top fusing glass artists of today's time. Richard Parrish has traveled and taught worldwide and we were honored to have him at The Guild. The workshop was called: Working in Shallow Space: Bas Relief in Kilnformed Glass , it was an intense four day workshop. Participants came from as far away as Alaska to learn and create awesome pieces of glass art.

Richard Parrish holds a Master of Architecture degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho. His work was selected for the Corning Museum of Glass's New Glass Review twice. He's had solo exhibitions here in America and Europe. He teaches kiln glass internationally, focusing on the visual elements of design; color theory; and inspiration, meaning and intent.

Getting to Know Our New Neighbors

The Guild was pleased to have the opportunity to meet a group of the Retired School Personnel of Carroltton/Farmers Branch. The group toured our studios where they heard from various instructors of the various mediums. After the tour they participated in jewelry making, bookbinding or watercolor projects.
