The Power of Giving: Computer Lab
Angelique's Story
When Angelique lost her job, she began working day labor jobs as a temporary worker. The company paid her using a local shopping store’s money card system. Her paycheck would go straight into an account from which she would draw funds, similar to a bank’s debit card system.

One day, she went to use the card and noticed her balance was lower than what she recalled. Further investigation led to the discovery that someone had used her card number for fraudulent charges. She contacted the card company and the police and was directed to file a claim online.

The problem was, Angelique didn't have access to a computer at home. Thankfully, she knew about JFS Orlando’s computer lab because she had used it before during her search for employment. Angelique immediately contacted JFS and was able to get assistance in filling out the claim!
Funded in part by the Frances & Joseph Victor Fund at the Central Florida Foundation, computer lab services are offered to clients FREE of charge and are available year-round. Trained volunteers staff the computer lab and are available to assist with any technology needs.
Know anyone who might be interested in using the JFS computer lab?

And for my son, just being able to contribute in some fashion, it’s good for him to serve and get in the habit of it at such a young age.”
