Demo with Anne Abgott

Anne will be demoing colorful shadows on a wall. The shapes of the shadows are being created by Florida Palm trees. She will then demonstrate applying the original painting to cradle boards and varnishing and waxing them.

Reminder to All GCWS Members:
There are changes that need to be made to the Standing Rules and By Law addendum. Roberts Rules states that by law Addendums are part of the by laws and must be changed as laid out in the by laws.  The new changes must be presented to the membership and voted by the membership.
We will vote next month, Feb. 18 at the General Membership Meeting at Art Serve. Meeting starting at 7 PM in the auditorium.
MOTION: Membership Book 2019 (Addendum to by laws Page 33) Only the judge is allowed to award prizes. If a piece or artist is deemed ineligible after judging, the award will be discarded, and no replacement will be given except by the Judge.  
MOTION: (Page 32 Addendum to by-laws)  Artwork must be framed under plexiglass or glass, but plexiglass is preferred.

Anne Abgott, in her Daring color and more!  You will learn to exaggerate the possibilities of an Image.  Design, photo shop, power repetition, balance, color games through mingling with a different image produced each day. One day will venture into opaques.  All will be learned as you work from Anne's photo or if you choose to work with your own photo. All Levels are welcome.  You will never fear watercolor again.

Join Steve Rogers  as we discover the pure Joy of painting intuitive Abstract Painting with Fluid Acrylics , Watercolor Pencils and Crayons. Letting go and realizing that there are no rules, depending entirely on understanding Design and Color Theory.  All of which will be thoroughly explained and illustrated.  Then the fun begins.  Lots of intuitive painting time with help finding your direction and finally what it takes to pull an Abstract together.
