Are Your Employees Enrolled in the SMarT Plan?
Participants who use the SMarT plan can save more for their retirement without even thinking about it. The SMarT plan is Ohio DC's automatic contribution increase plan. Participants who use the SMarT plan can select a date each year when they want their contributions to their retirement savings to increase. Many people choose to schedule it for the beginning of the year, when they normally receive a pay increase. Learn more about SMarT here.

Health Care Costs in Retirement
As people prepare for retirement, some of their most significant concerns are related to how they will afford health care once they are retired. According to a recent survey, almost half of Americans between the ages of 50 and 64 are afraid they won't be able to afford health care in retirement.
Ohio DC is here to help our participants save money for retirement, which they can use for anything, including health-care expenses. If you direct your employees to the Calculators/Tools tab on our website, they can use the My Health Care Estimator tool to calculate potential future health-care expenses to help them plan for retirement.
