Alumni Discount for Adventure Summer Camps

The new Adventure Summer Camp registration for 7th and 8th graders is now open! The daily field trips from campus to UP destinations are designed to help campers appreciate the exciting, interesting and beautiful places in their own backyard. Even if the camper has visited these sites before, the emphasis is for them to explore a little deeper, enrich a little further and to enjoy with their friends. Children of alumni receive 10% off these camps. First Hockey Day in the Twin Saults a Resounding Success

Last Saturday, a crowd of 3,166 witnessed the Laker hockey team clinch the team's second consecutive WCHA playoff berth with a 4-1 victory over Alabama-Huntsville. What was truly unique about this night is that the game was played in Sault, Ontario at GFL Memorial Gardens. Athletic Director David Paitson said "It was a great opportunity to celebrate our shared hockey heritage, connect with new audiences, and provide our students, alumni, and Laker fans with a unique experience."

Nominate a Professor for Distinguished Teacher Award

Take a moment to recognize a professor for going above and beyond, inspiring you to do your best, or giving you the opportunity to shine. All alumni, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate one or more LSSU professors for this award. Get more information and complete a nomination form here , or contact the Provost's Office. Deadline for nominations: Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 5:00 pm.
Jennie Sweet '98, assistant professor of political science at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, received The CQ Press Award for Teaching Innovation, recognizing a political scientist who has developed an effective new approach to teaching in the discipline.

Brian Stearns '00, traveled to Australia to help fightthe wildfires there.
