Jacksonville Animal Shelter held a 'Roaring 20's' adoption special to celebrate the New Year, helping 12 pups find new homes!

Autry Funeral Homes, and First United Methodist Church were awarded 'Beauty and Business' awards by the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Committee in January.

Citizen's Police Academy
Names New President
The Jacksonville Citizen's Police Academy/ Association Alumni named new President Chris Henderson (pictured right) with interim police chief Mike Alexander (pictured left). Officer Jeff Dockter is the new officer liaison for the organization after Tonya Harris retired last year.

Men's Basketball Hosts
'City of Jacksonville' Night
Thanks to Jacksonville College for the recognition. Many staff were in attendance, and the Jaguars won the game!
Jacksonville Chamber Awards
Dr. Mike Smith at Annual Banquet
Dr. Smith, President of Jacksonville College was named 'Citizen of the Year!', and City of Jacksonville decorated a table for the event (right). Its eight occupants each received a City of Jacksonville coffee mug, trivet, and koozie, an  Explore Jacksonville, Texas  brochure, and got to play with (downsized) City vehicles.
