January 2020 Newsletter
Important Dates
February 21st is the PTO sponsored Family Game Night.
If you haven’t seen or heard, Mrs. Betts is pregnant and will be going on Maternity Leave in February. Please read THIS letter to read who will be filling in for her and other information about while she is out.
Thank you to all of the Merryman Families that participated in the Merryman PTO sponsored movie at the Mariner Theatre. We had an absolutely incredible turnout, with some families having to be seated on the movie theatre floor. We now know that in the future we should rent out two of the theatres and be prepared for a packed house!
Winter is just around the corner and the possibility we may have to close or delay school, please take a minute to verify your contact information. Click on this letter to help you navigate inclement weather season.

Captain's Crew
Adalynn sets a great example for the other students. She is kind, caring, and helpful. There are many times that we observe her helping other students without being asked. Her positivity and growth mindset spread throughout the classroom. Keep up the great work, Adalynn!!
Ayla is a wonderful example of our Merryman Knight's Code of Conduct. She is very respectful of her peers and adults, as well as school property and rules. Getting her work done, remembering her folder, being organized and reading at home are just a few of the ways Ayla shows responsibility every day. She also consistently follows our PBIS school safety rules and is a pleasure to teach each day. Keep up the great work, Ayla!
Ella is an awesome role model for students at Merryman. She is honest and hardworking. She sets a great example by telling the truth and always giving 100%. She gives 100% to math, reading, and writing, but she also gives 100% to her friends and classmates. She always has a sweet smile on her face and a kind word to share. We are lucky to have Ella as part of our Merryman family.
Zander is one of the most considerate and well mannered students that the 4th grade has ever had. His manners are amazing. During the day, you will see Zander always saying please and thank you, or telling a classmate that he likes their new haircut, or picking up the classroom.
He sets a great example and his classmates are lucky to have such a kind and courteous student in their class.
