February 2020
We are in full swing here since returning from our "holiday hiatus". It's been great to see so many of you already this year. We have also been seeing our FedEx and UPS drivers frequently and have received many new bolts of fabric in the past few weeks.

January new fabric arrivals include:
Beach fabric from Henry Glass - "Calming Tides" by Jessica Mundo features crustaceans, tossed shells, seahorses, fishing nets, and more tossed across shades of blue, white, and grey.
Cheddar and Chocolate from Pam Buda inspired by the many shades of cheddar-colored pumpkins, brown leaves, and chocolate treats.
Madison from Wilmington Prints - Beautiful large blue and yellow floral print available in yardage, charm packs, layer cakes, and strips.
Irene is busy building a One Block Wonder quilt on her design wall for the upcoming class in May using the beautiful Madison fabric line!
We also have Timeless Treasure's Fun fabric including flip flops and watermelons as well as Art Gallery Fabrics Ballerina collection that features soft modern blenders.
Summer Sweet by Moda is a delightful collection of whimsical florals in a variety of sizes with coordinating print basics. (I have already made a happy quilt for my daughter-in-law with these)

Moda's Flights of Fancy features beautiful watercolor florals with unique birds.

Windham’s Around Town fabric and panel is a bright children's line featuring everything you will see on a city block-- trucks, cars, fire engines, motorcycles, bikes, buses, and brick buildings. The panel features a city scene perfect for a playmat or wall-hanging.

Rachel's Tribute (Pam Buda), Jo Morton's new Lancaster group, all of the new Kaffe Fassett, and Tula Pink's "Homemade" (yes, I ordered a Tula Pink group per customer request!),each of the new Bumbleberries colors from Lewis and Irene, and MORE are coming soon!

There are openings in the classes highlighted below but please be aware that our classes are filling quickly and you often need to register early as opposed to waiting until the last minute. We try to accommodate everyone and if a popular class fills quickly we try to schedule an additional session asap.

Hope to see you soon!

SQS 12th Anniversary Basket Challenge
This year, we invite you to participate in our 3rd Annual Serendipity Quilt Shop Challenge as we celebrate our 12th Anniversary. The challenge is to finish a project of your choice using a pattern (or design your own!) that includes baskets.

We plan to display the projects during the anniversary celebration and take a group photo before the 12th Anniversary celebration in June.

Below are the guidelines for this year’s challenge.
  1. Basket Basket Basket! A Basket themed pattern / design must be incorporated in the project of your choice.
  2. Project can be any project - a quilt (any size), table runner, wall hanging, bag, or even a basket- in any pattern you choose.
