February 2020 Prayers
Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. -Hebrews 13:3
Week 1: February 1-8
On January 30, 2020, the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization declared the Novel Corona Virus outbreak a “public health emergency of international concern.” As information and understanding is new, we pray for calm, wisdom and understanding as public health experts determine the best course of action. February 6th is International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation. Pray for the involvement of faith leaders in guiding their communities to end this practice. Resource from Norwegian Church Aid on faith leader involvement in ending FGM, child and forced marriage in Ethiopia
Week 2: February 9-15
Pray for support for students and developing country professionals wishing to attend the CCIH conference to strengthen their knowledge and skills, join in Christian fellowship, pray, recharge and renew their commitment to serve people in need.  About collaboration, and opportunities for growth at the CCIH Conference

Pray for Kenya, as we learn from colleagues that the nation is experiencing the worst locust infestation in 70 years, affecting crops, food security and livelihoods. More from the Daily Mail
Week 3: February 16-22
Please pray for God’s guidance for Friends of Shirati as they aspire to expand the cervical cancer screening program at the Shirati Hospital in Tanzania. About Friends of Shirati 
 
Pray for people in Lesotho as the nation faces severe food insecurity due to a drought. 
Week 4: February 23-29
Pray for prison outreach programs. Pray for repentance and acceptance of the love of Jesus Christ in the hearts of prisoners. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. -Hebrews 13:3
