Nathan's Notebook
Keeping the campfires burning through the winter!
"Thinking of camp, regardless of the weather, always makes me feel warm.

In this sense, we carry the heart of the campfire, of the medurah , with us, and when things feel particularly cold or hard, knowing it, as the spirit of camp, is there to light our way and warm us. "

One of the values of the Tavor community is working towards justice in Israel/Palestine.

Many of us do this in various ways throughout the year.
Through March 11, you have an opportunity to join fellow Tavorniks in one such effort by voting for the Hatikvah Progressive Israel Slate in the World Zionist Congress (WZC) elections.

This vote determines who represents American Jews in the WZC that governs the World Zionist Organization, helps allocate approximately $1 billion annually in funding through Jewish organizations in Israel and around the world, and has a real impact on a range of HDNA programs.

The greater our voting strength, the more influence we will have over issues we care about in Israel and throughout the Jewish world. Help send Tavor community members Sarah Pincus (Rosh Tavor 2020), Joel Winograd, Shaina Wasserman, and Barbara Zabitz to speak for us at this important gathering of world Jewish leaders!

The Hatikvah slate is endorsed by Habonim Dror North America and brings together some wonderful allies including Ameinu, Hashomer Hatzair, Americans for Peace Now, the New Israel Fund, and J Street among others.
