Tired of cooking the same three lunch and dinner recipes on repeat? Join le club. But as you probably know, the world of food blogs and nutrition influencers can be very overwhelming. There are so. many. damn. options. that just thinking about scrolling through a few of them has me ready for a nap.

Then, there's the whole issue of finding "healthy" meal ideas. I've seen so many different guidelines and nutrition standards that I literally have no idea what makes a dish good for me anymore. Why? Is? It? Like? This? And who gets to define what "healthy" is, anyway? Sigh. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Nov. 17, 2020 -- With COVID-19 cases on the rise and cold and flu season well underway, When it comes to heart health, you probably know what the American Heart Association (AHA) offers as its top diet advice: Eat a good balance of fresh, fiber-rich fruits and veggies; whole grains; and healthy proteins, such as nuts, skinless fish and poultry. But recent studies have also named specific cardiovascular all-stars that are worth adding to your rotation. Here are a few standouts to add to your grocery list.

If the Nutrition Program is cancelled because of inclement weather (e.g. snow or icy conditions) the cancellation will be announced as "Elder Services of Worcester Meals on Wheels and Dining Centers are closed" on WCRN 830 AM, WTAG 580 AM, WSRS 96.1 FM and WXLO 104.5 FM radio stations. Cancellations are also posted on Boston WHDH television channel 7.

If you are on social media, weather related cancellations are also posted by 9am on ESWA's Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages.


You may also call the Nutrition Office at (508) 852-3205 after 8:00 a.m. for cancellation information.

Here's How to Get a Free Box of Heart-Shaped Honey Nut Cheerios in February
Valentine's season and American Heart Month have arrived and General Mills is ready to celebrate. The cereal manufacturer announced the return of heart-shaped Cheerios, and this time, fans can get a box for free.

Anyone who purchases a box of Cheerios during the month of February will be eligible for a rebate of up to $7, excluding tax. To get the reimbursement, you'll need to scan and upload a photo of your receipt that shows you bought a box of Cheerios—any flavor qualifies. You can request to be refunded via Venmo, PayPal, or US mail. Full instructions will be available on General Mills' website.
