Special thanks to our Diversity & Inclusion Series Sponsors IPSEN and EY for supporting us and thanks again to our partners : the American Chamber of Commerce in France, as well as the French-American Chambers of Commerce of

We are very pleased with the success of the D&I Series launch. The large audience not only in the US but also in France was able to enjoy insightful discussions between our D&I Experts on how to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace. For those who could not be with us at this event, we'd like to share some highlights from our panel.
Jane Steinmetz on the Diversity, Inclusion, & Equity continuum:
"There's diversity among
people, such as gender and race, and also diversity of thought, leadership styles, education, and personalities. Diversity means creating a team of different people. Inclusion is when leaders are vocal about encouraging everyone to share their contributions, and when done well, it makes employees feel valued through positive reinforcement and clear outcomes. And then Equity is when all members of a diverse population of employees have equal opportunities to grow and feel empowered to bring their unique thoughts and ideas to the table.”
Wagner Denuzzo on leadership & privilege:
“You can call yourself a leader, you can call yourself inclusive, but if you don’t manifest inclusion through behaviors you don’t have anything... Historically, we have privilege for certain communities that don’t exist in underserved communities. So it’s about the courage to look inward & reflect on where you stand on the spectrum of privilege.”
Guy Pacitti on creating an inclusive culture:
“Research shows that in an average meeting of 6 people, 3 people do 86% of the talking. In an average meeting of 8 people, 3 people do 76% of the talking... We must create an ongoing climate that encourages everyone to contribute in the workplace & makes people feel like their viewpoint is valued.”

Please take a moment to share your opinion and let us know what D&I topics you'd like us to discuss in the coming months; we welcome all your inputs to help define our next editions of the Series!
