Fellow Chamber Members-
“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant”
– Anne Bradstreet
This is a quote that fills me with hope and seems so appropriate for the current times. Can you believe that it has almost been a year since shutdowns occurred and impacted our local businesses, schools and social dynamics? With each new day more folks are being vaccinated and we begin to see some hope for a return to some sense of normalcy. At the Chamber, we continue to look for ways to support our members during these tough times.
Hopefully you were able to either use some of the coupons from our January rollout of the local business coupon book, had an opportunity to learn about the PPP Loans during the Zoom meeting hosted in partnership with the OED and our neighboring Chambers, or joined us in our first ever State of the Community virtual event. Still looking for something fun to do? There is also plenty of opportunity to get out and play during the winter – a walk or snow shoe on the Ozaukee Interurban Trail or a family trip down Lime Kiln’s snow hill. Grafton has some great parks and trails – winter can be just as fun to visit them and try something new..........or in my case, patiently wait for the warmer weather.

Rainbows
Every other Tuesday
Feb. 9th-June 1st, 6:30 – 7:30 pm (via Zoom)
Know a child or teen who is having troubling adjusting to a death or divorce in their family? Our free RAINBOWS program can help. Goals of the program are to help kids (K-12th grade) understand and express their feelings, build a stronger sense of self-esteem, and direct their energy toward a healthy acceptance of the changes that have taken place. Children are grouped by age and will share activities and discuss common concerns. Groups are facilitated by understanding and empathetic volunteers who have participated in a formal training program. A concurrent group is offered for parents.
