I am Ansuyah Naiken and have the pleasure of being connected with the work of the Peace Learning Center for many years before becoming a consultant in June 2019. As an interculturalist, I work with people at a variety of organizations and levels, helping bridge cultural and racial gaps by designing and facilitating customized workshops for corporations, non-profits, government and educational institutions.
I was born in South Africa and immigrated to the United States in 1999. I lived and worked in apartheid and post-apartheid South Africa, where I experienced both the joys and frustrations before and after the phenomenal transition. I bring my life’s journey and experiences of inter-racial engagement to my work as a facilitator of the Implicit Bias workshops and hope to do the same when facilitating the Peace Learning Circles program.
I will always be thankful to the Peace Learning Center for the opportunities to engage in anti-racism and equity literacy work.
