Benedict College partners with Monroe Media, a New York-based multimedia consulting and design firm. The firm specializes in photography, graphic design, animation, and video production. Monroe will provide a design internship program titled: “Curating the Culture: The Elements of Graphic Design.”

“This is an outstanding opportunity for Benedict’s Studio Art majors,” said Joey Hilton, Assistant Professor, Communications and Arts department. “I am very proud of the three current studio art students interning with the firm this semester. Following the semester-long program, one student will be selected to work directly with Monroe and his team to create graphics and receive hands-on experience working on projects for industry titans.”

“As someone who came from an HBCU like myself, I’m excited to be able to be an additional resource for the students,” Monroe expresses. “The biggest challenge is not only just getting necessary experience but understanding where and how they can begin to build a network of people to help get their careers off the ground. I’m hoping that this program can take part in providing students with the necessary tools to begin their journeys.”
