BWIM's Month of Preaching is happening this month!

We are so grateful for all the churches who have already registered their participation in BWIM Month of Preaching and we look forward to learning about many more!

It's not too late to join in this important emphasis (even if your participation winds up being a little later than February). For churches that regularly have women preachers, consider asking a woman who does not receive opportunities like a seminary or college student. For churches who do not have women preach often, consider this a chance to be consistent in communicating to your congregation that women's voices and gifts are equal in value to those of men.

We have multiple resources for you to use in worship including videos which introduce BWIM Month of preaching, bulletin inserts, and worship suggestions.

In 2022, we are pleased to be able to also offer children's worship bulletins for use during your Month of Preaching participation! There are two versions--one with the preacher wearing a stole, and one with the preacher not wearing a stole to account for differences in worship style.
Don't forget to register your Month of Preaching participation with us by filling out the form linked below! We would love for you to also email a picture of your preacher to [email protected] so we can share it on BWIM's social media. If you choose, you can also celebrate your preacher by sending a donation to BWIM in her honor!

As we work together toward a Baptist world that affirms and elevates the leadership of women, being able to see and hear women in the pulpit is a crucial way we can help people develop a vision for more inclusive leadership.
The next in our series of Ministry Search Conversations will be on Thursday, February 24, 12:30 EST / 11:30 CST. The discussion will revolve around the interview process for women in ministry. Featured guests will be two women who recently went through ministry searches--Rev. Mary Alice Birdwhistell, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, Louisville, KY, and Rev. Natasha Nedrick, Minister of Discipleship, Central Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO.

The final conversation will discuss the search process from a committee standpoint. The featured guests will be two people who recently served on pastoral search committees--Mandy McMichael from Calvary Baptist Church in Waco, TX and Lance Wallace from Parkway Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.

Even if you didn't register for the first conversation, you can still register today to participate in the second and third ones!

Rev. Hollis Dudgeon (pictured) was ordained on February 6 by Faith Baptist Church in Georgetown, KY.

Shannon Speller was ordained on Jan. 26 by Zebulon Baptist Church in Zebulon, NC.
