2022 Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) Virtual Conference, March 28 - April 1
Over 2,000 scientists, students and implementers from academia, NGOs, government and the private sector will present, learn and collaborate to address some of the pressing challenges our world faces at the annual CUGH conference. A wide range of medical and non-medical disciplines are represented throughout the virtual pre-conference satellites (free to attend, register online). Attendees will be inspired and challenged to learn new skills, gain new contacts and find ways we can improve the health of people and the planet.
This year, UCGHI is one of the CUGH host institutions, and many UCGHI collaborators will be participating. UC Irvine's Program in Public Health Dean (and UCGHI Board member), Dr. Bernadette Boden-Albala, will moderate a breakout panel discussion on science communication. She will be joined by esteemed panelists, Dr. Bradley Pollock (UC Davis, UCGHI Board Member), Dr. Melody Goodman (NYU), Dr. Karen Yeates (Queens University), and Dr. Marybeth Terry (Columbia University), to discuss the importance of science communication from a global health perspective and solutions for improving science communication research, training, and practice.
