Winter Reading Challenge | Until February 28, 2023

Get cozy with the library this winter! Read or do winter activities throughout January and February for the chance to win a prize basket. 


Adults:

  • Pick up a Winter Reading Challenge bookmark at the Main Library or Islington Branch
  • Read a book and write a review or do a winter activity of your choice
  • Drop off your completed bookmark at the library to earn a raffle ticket


Kids and Teens (Kindergarten through 12th Grade):

  • Sign up for the Winter Reading Challenge in Beanstack
  • Log reading hours and complete winter activities to earn raffle tickets

The Baker Chocolate Company: A Sweet History

Tuesday, February 7 at 10 am


Local historian Anthony Sammarco details the delicious saga of Massachusetts's Baker Chocolate Company, from Hannon's mysterious disappearance and the famed La Belle Chocolatier advertising campaign, to cacao bean smuggling sparked by Revolutionary War blockades. Both bitter and sweet, this tale is sure to tickle your taste buds and of course, we will have chocolate for everyone to enjoy!

Ukulele Play-Along

Every Monday at 7 pm, Zoom



Have a ukulele but don't play it enough? Join a group of learners for an hour of playing on Zoom, led by musician Julie Stepanek! Chords and lyrics provided. 


Bring your own ukulele. Play-Alongs do require a basic understanding of the instrument and how to play it. Participants will be muted, so don't worry about how you sound. No registration required.

Due to changes in the program, the library will only have the 1040 Form, 1040 SR and the 1040 Instructions.


We receive the MA Department of Revenue’s Form 1 for Residents and Federal forms as part of the IRS’ Tax Form Outlet Program.
