February Social Media Toolkit:

This Black History Month, SCORE is spotlighting resources to support America’s Black entrepreneurs and offering volunteer opportunities for experienced Black business owners. We have created the following toolkit for SCORE Social Media Chairs to help celebrate this observance in their local online communities.

This toolkit serves as a resource guide for participating chapters to promote SCORE services, highlight success stories from Black-owned businesses and spread the word about the resources available to help Black entrepreneurs thrive! This collection of materials will include a combination of graphics, articles, events, templates and even suggested copy to use throughout the month of February on your chapter’s channels.

February Social Media Updates:

Updated Chapter Social Media Content Strategy

LinkedIn content publishing through the Chapter Social Media Program has officially been implemented! This support, as well as new and improved content strategies for each of the three included platforms, began on January 1. We have learned SO much this first month, and we cannot wait to report back on the results in Q3!

Classic Facebook Pages Changing to New Pages Experience

The way your chapter's Facebook Page looks and functions will be updated soon. This update, called the New Pages Experience, includes a redesigned layout, seamless interactions with other Pages, an all-new Page Feed and more. Facebook has been sporadically rolling out this new experience for over a year, but we have just received a notice from Facebook that all pages will transition to the new experience over the coming months.

Be prepared. Learn more about the New Pages Experience here.

LinkedIn Page Optimization and Fan Growth Strategies

With LinkedIn support now included in the Chapter Social Media Program, your chapter has a huge opportunity to gain new prospective volunteers and clients from the platform. All chapters now have a presence on LinkedIn, and we are publishing content on those pages two times per week. In our last Social Media Webinar, we covered three tips you can use to help us ramp up your chapter's presence!

Reminder: Chapter Workshops Due by 2/15

Now that we are more than a month post-website launch, we wanted to remind you about how chapter workshops are promoted on social media and the associated deadline. We create Facebook Events for all chapter workshops posted on the chapter website by the 15th of the preceding month. This is free support included in the Chapter Social Media Program, so take advantage by publishing all of your March workshops on your site by February 15!

ICYMI: SCORE on Instagram Live with @SBAgov

Huge thanks to SCORE NYC mentor Dyann Klein and her client Nicole Ehrbar for appearing LIVE on Instagram to talk about the value of mentoring! Along with SBA Associate Administrator Mark Madrid, Dyann and Nicole shared the many ways SCORE can help small businesses grow and thrive. This was our first ever Instagram Live, and we were so excited to be invited to participate!

Missed it? Check out the replay here.
