Spring (Job) Training is Coming Soon!

Celebrating Black History Month

Last month I went to the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston to attend a panel called “Housing, Place, and Flexible Work: The Future of the New England Economy."

Economic experts, local leaders, and academics discussed workforce issues our staff deal with daily: Affordable housing, aging infrastructure, public transportation, hybrid work, career training opportunities, and more.

A comment by Bank President and CEO Susan Collins really struck me. She said, “The region’s economy is healthiest when it provides opportunities for all to participate, contribute, and prosper.”

'Providing opportunities for all' guides MassHire's work. In fact, I often say we're in the opportunity business: Our services help diverse people and businesses identify, engage in, and benefit from opportunities.

Yes, we face a lot of economic development and workforce challenges. But you'll find at MassHire Career Centers caring, considerate, and connected counselors who can help set you on the path to prosperity.

Sincerely,

Jeff Turgeon

Executive Director

P.S. Welcome to our new Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development, Lauren E. Jones.
