River Cities Central Office

The River Cities Central Office is sad to announce that the Vice Chairperson Jennifer J and Web Liaison Roxanne S will no longer be with us. They will be greatly missed as they embark on this new chapter of their lives in Louisiana. The Central Office would like to thank them for their dedicated service over their years here in Bullhead City. The Central Office is looking for a new Vice Chairperson and continues looking for a new Recording Secretary and board member for Intergroup. Please see the requirements for all open positions below:

BOARD POSITION

VICE CHAIRPERSON

The Vice Chairperson is elected for a one (1) year term, but not to exceed three (3) consecutive terms. The Vice Chairperson is a voting member of the Intergroup.

Requirements:

Three (3) years of sobriety
A member of the intergroup for six (6) months or prior Intergroup experience

RECORDING SECRETARY

Must have 1 year of sobriety, be a member of the Intergroup for six (6) months, and will be a voting board member.

Open Committee Members Position

IGL (Intergroup Liaison): must have 2 years of sobriety. This is like a GSR position for a group, but for Central Office: OPEN

Need a Service Position? RCCO NEEDS YOU!

Central Office is looking for volunteers Tuesday & Wednesday from 3-5pm. Examples of tasks volunteers complete in the office: answering phone, making and folding copies of schedules, selling books and literature, talking with visitors. Interested? Contact [email protected]

Meetings at Central Office

Intergroup Meeting: 2nd Monday of the month at 6pm February 13th
Intergroup is made up of AA groups from the Tri-State area (Arizona, California and Nevada).
Dist. 09-903 Business Meeting: 3rd Monday of the Month February 20th
Treatment Committee: 2nd Wednesday at 5pm February 8th

Groups can purchase Newcomer Packets for $2 each and packets of 10 meeting schedules at $2 per packet.

33^rd Annual River Roundup Recap

The 33^rd Annual River Roundup was held January 5^th-7^th 2023 and was a big success.

This year there were 487 registered guests from all over the country who enjoyed the many AA speakers, an “Old Timers” meeting, marathon meetings, workshops, meals, a magic show, Bingo, a golf tournament, Al-anon speakers, Area 03 Archives and lots of fellowship.

Bingo sold out again this year leading us to believe that we will need a larger venue for Bingo next year.

There were 38 bowlers on Friday night and Saturday morning 17 Golfers tee off at the Mohave Resort Golf course.

At the Birthday Count Down there was well over 5000 years of sobriety in the room starting with an “Old Timer” of 65 years and a Newcomer of 4 days.

The 50/50 raffle prize brought in $1445.00, and the Literature Gift Basket raffle brought in $940.00.

For the first time the Saturday Night Banquet was 100% sold out! (288 meals).

In total, a little over $14,500.00 was raised for the River Cities Central Office!!

On behalf of the committee we would like to thank the attendees of the River Roundup. Without you we wouldn’t have been able to raise those funds necessary to keep the River Cities Central Office open and running smoothly.

None of this could have happen without a lot of hard work from a dedicated Planning Committee and all volunteers who helped at the Roundup. The Groups and Individuals who donated snacks for Hospitality, Thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you!

I personally want to Thank You to the amazing people of this years River Roundup Planning Committee for the work and commitment throughout the whole year that it takes to put the Roundup together!
