Beavercreek City Council votes to place police levy on May ballot | |
Beavercreek residents will vote on a 1.8 mills police levy on the May ballot. Funds generated by the levy will be used to maintain and increase the police department’s service levels, including the hiring of 5 additional police officers, and purchase and maintain needed equipment. The requested levy amount does not include funding to build a new facility for the police department.

Beavercreek couple receives Citizens of the Year award
A Beavercreek couple has been awarded with the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association’s 2022 Citizens of the Year award. Bob and Vicki Darden were recognized for their involvement and dedication to youth in the Beavercreek community through the Beavercreek Youth Softball Association.

To enter, take a picture of your snowman or creature and email it to parks@beavercreekohio.gov. We will share the pictures on the city's Facebook page and the family who submits the photo with the most reactions will win a prize!

The service won first-place in the adaptive category for providing a program that "enhances the lives of those with special needs, such as emotional, cognitive, or physical disabilities."

Day of Caring 365 Pancake Brunch
Open to everyone!
February 26
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Join us at the Beavercreek Senior Center for Day of Caring 365's annual Pancake Brunch. All proceeds benefit Day of Caring 365, a nonprofit organization that helps those in need of hygiene items, food, and shelter. Hygiene items, including toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc. may be dropped off any time before or on the day of the even at the center. You can also purchase tickets there.
Tickets are cash only and cost $6 for adults and $5 for seniors/children under 12. Other monetary donations are appreciated.

The Greene County Council on Aging (GCCOA) is presenting a six-week Healthy U Chronic Disease Workshop. Council team members, Jeff and Susan, will lead this interactive workshop covering a variety of topics including setting and achieving goals, strategies to deal with pain, stress and fatigue, and better communication with loved ones.
