Polyester & Lacquer Finish Touch Up Academy
Come spend two full days at the PTG Home Office with Mike Ello, RPT. Learn the secrets of how to perform professional repair and touch up to damaged polyester or lacquer finished pianos. Hands-on and small group. Whether you wish to be totally safe touching up edges, light scratches, and small defects, or you are ambitious enough to take on a lacquer or polyester fill repair, discover how you can add more income to your service calls. Interested in taking the RPT Written Exam?
The written exam is taken online. The RPT sponsor should contact the Written Exam at [email protected] to set up a written exam. Only the English version is available at this time. The fee for the written exam is $25. Purchase a written exam voucher in the PTG Store. Select RPT Exam Voucher from the Categories list, then select Written Exam Fee. You'll receive your voucher purchase confirmation via email. Your order # will be proof of purchase. Your exam purchase information is automatically forwarded to the written exam committee, so you don't need to submit that information when you request your exam.

Free Money (some conditions apply)
Chapter Marketing Grant | Congratulations to both the Detroit/Windsor chapter and the Central Illinois chapter for being the most current recipients of a PTG Chapter Marketing Grant. PTG provides these funds to promote local chapter members and PTG through local marketing activities. Funds can be used for program ads, exhibit booths, giveaways, event sponsorship, and more. Download an application and guidelines.
RPT Exam Grants Program | Congratulation are also in order to both the Midwest Regional Conference and the South Central Regional Conference as both recently were awarded exam grants. Any chapter, RCO or Area Exam Board is eligible to apply for funding to assist existing programs or establish new programs for delivery of RPT exam opportunities. Attend NAMM 2023
NAMM and the PTG have again partnered to offer members a free registration to the April 13-15, 2023 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. Here’s how it works:
- You must be a PTG member.

You MUST send an e-mail to [email protected] with your complete name and e-mail address by March 15, 2023. Please include NAMM NAME BADGE REQUEST in the subject line.
- That e-mail address will be shared with NAMM. You will receive an e-mail from NAMM with further instructions on how to complete the registration process. Once complete, you will receive confirmation from NAMM that your badge awaits you.
If you make it to the show, please make sure and say hello at the PTG booth. More information about the NAMM show is available at www.namm.org/thenammshow/attend.

Bylaws Proposal RFAs are due – 5/19/2023 – [email protected]. The Bylaws Committee will also review Organization Policy RFAs if you'd like their feedback. Use the downloadable RFA form found in the Forms & Documents library in the Members Area at www.ptg.org.

PTG Green Initiative
As adopted in 2005, the Council Book of Resolutions states, "Home Office and PTG membership shall be environmentally aware." Over the last few years, the HO has been working towards eliminating the printing and mailing of such things as newsletters, supplements, invoices, and monthly statements. Please update your profile online or contact the HO if we do not have your current contact information. Find My Portal under PTG Members and click on your picture or the person image in the upper right hand corner to edit your profle.
