EverWild Forest School is excited to help parents and caregivers introduce the beauty and wonder of our natural world to little ones with their new Wild Winter series! This program focuses on experimenting with natural materials and stimuli to help develop fine and gross motor skills, curiosity, and cause-and-effect and is aimed for children ages 2-6 years old. The classes will take place outside (weather permitting) so please dress accordingly! You are invited to bring a blanket or two for an extra cozy outdoor experience! Each class is limited to 15 children. Registration is required.

This fun program is part of the Junior Master Gardener curriculum. Aimed to engage children through garden and ecology themed children's books and helps inspire learning through garden activities, creative expression and exploration. For ages 6 and up! Younger children are welcome as long as they have their caregiver with them to assist them with the activities. Presented by University of Idaho Extension's Canyon County Jr. Master Gardener volunteers.

Fit and Fall Proof™ is designed to help senior citizens prevent injuries and the subsequent loss of independence. Class participants learn simple exercises to increase strength, balance, and endurance, which can help prevent the accidental falls and tripping sometimes associated with age.

Join us for a Bridgerton Murder Mystery! All participants will have a specific character and are suggested to dress up as such character. The idea is like any other mystery, the players must solve who killed the who in the Bridgerton series by the end of the game. The library's book-mending specialists will be available to repair: torn page(s), loose spine/pages, worn book corners, as well as offer general book preservation techniques. You can bring in up to two books that need mending services for repair or diagnostics. Additionally, if you’re interested, these specialists will also teach you their mending techniques. All fixing materials are provided by the library, as well as refreshments. Feel free to also come by and observe the book-mending process. Please note that these book-mending specialists are not experts at book-mending, thus any book of significant value (such as 1st editions, etc.) should be taken to a book restoration expert. This program is for any age. Registration is recommended. Walk-ins are welcomed and will be handled on a first come, first serve basis.

This event will feature a wide variety of work such as fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, comix, zines and poetry. There will also be workshops, readings and more. Come purchase a book and meet the author! Authors, illustrators, and publishers we invite you to visit nampalibrary.org/bookfair to fill out an application to participate in our fair! The deadline for applications is February 18, 2023.
