January was fun and busier than we've seen in a few years, with Sundance making an appearance again. Towards the end of the month, the Park City Board of Realtors released the 2022 market statistics. For a 360-degree view of 2022, check out the Wasatch Back market report below, and for a more in-depth look at what happened within specific areas and subdivisions, please contact me. If I haven't caught your attention about Mayflower Mountain Resort, I am trying to :). Here’s my favorite Mayflower video and another "little" fact. Mayflower Mountain Resort will have more than 4300 skiable acres, and there are continued talks that Deer Valley may become the operator. If this happens, Deer Valley will become one of the largest ski resorts in North America. Looking ahead to the summer months, Deer Valley announced the Deer Valley Concert Series will return to Deer Valley this summer. The first confirmed show is Michael Franti and Spearhead. Tickets go on sale February 3rd, 10 am MST. Find the link below to get your tickets! And to wrap up, I am excited to announce I passed my broker exam in December and in January I became a Licensed Associate Broker!
Thanks for joining me here. Have a great month!

February is the perfect time to “get in the game,” so to speak. Our team recently took a moment to look back at some “vintage” newsletters circa 1996, and we discovered that although today’s rising interest rates are making headlines, current rates are still in fact at historic lows. Check out our short video for more perspective and reach out today for a fresh approach to buying or selling Park City real estate!

Trying to get to the
St. Regis fire pit and patio bar? A new ski lift at Deer Valley opens this week and can help with that.
It’s a relatively short four-seater that picks up just above the beginner Snowflake lift. It drops off just above the St. Regis hotel and restaurant above the Snow Park base area.
It gives access to the Deer Hollow run, which continues to the Mountaineer Express lift. The Gnat’s Eye run is also accessible from the new Burns lift, so skiers can return to the Snow Park base area and ski school zone.
The lift will carry its first passengers during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. It’s happening at the top of the Wide West ski run, where skiers load onto chairs.
Deer Valley Vice President of Skier Services Rob Sogard said the new lift is designed to improve access for beginner skiers specifically, as well as all skiers who wish to access Little Baldy Mountain runs.

Jennifer Wesselhoff Park City Chamber/Bureau president and CEO
The dust has settled but the heady buzz lingers as Parkites digest Sundance Film Festival 2023, the first in-person Sundance in three years. What a show! The Sundance Institute team and volunteers, city staff, and service staff at venues all over town worked themselves to exhaustion putting together an event for the ages. We salute them all.
It is hard to overstate the impact of the creative artists and the intensity of the media focus we just experienced. Ahead of last Friday’s award announcements, for example, NPR headlined, “Get These Sundance Movies on your Radar Now.” GQ featured “The Movies that have Everyone Talking at Sundance.” The NY Post went with “The 5 Best Movies at Sundance.” US featured “The Ten Buzziest Sundance Movies.” USA Today instructed its audience on “How to Watch Must-See Sundance Movies,” recommending “Infinity Pool” and the Steph Curry doc. There was much more among 10.5 million Google results for Sundance 2023.
However, what we are known for, rather than being known, is more important to our community, economy and sustainability. So what did Sundance add to our rep as Winter’s Favorite Town this year? How about artistry at the highest levels; a spotlight on pressing social concerns; and being a town that welcomes all sorts of people, cultures and ideas, and knows how to revel in the sheer joy of savoring great films on big screens?
