Meet Maury Costantini
Vice President of Sales | Dorse & Company
How did you get into your current position?
Maury Costantini is a tenured executive with 32 years of construction experience. Prior to joining Dorse & Company 2 ½ years ago as VP of Sales, Maury worked for mechanical and controls contractors for almost 30 years. Notably, he was VP of Sales for Optimum Energy, President of CCI Automated Technologies and Managing Partner for Octant Innovations. His community involvement includes mentoring University of Washington students for the Center of Innovation and serving on the Lighthouse for the Blind Board among other things. He is currently USCG Auxiliary A-Directorate Branch Chief for Public Affairs Promotion (LCDR). He currently volunteers for the IFMA Membership Committee, Bellevue/Seattle 2030 District Education Committee, the SMACNA Event Committee and the WSSHE Charity Committee.
How do you support Facility Managers?
Through product and application education and outreach. Coordinating and sponsoring events. Dorse gets a lot of calls from Facility Managers in both the private and public sector looking for a solution. Many times, they have limited information and need support to find the best equipment or application. And it almost always in time sensitive. We take a consultative approach to provide options and partner with the Facility Manager to arrive at the best outcome.
How do you benefit from the IFMA and the Seattle Chapter?
Market intelligence gained from interaction with members. There are many demands for Facility Managers. Better understanding their needs allows Dorse to tailor our solutions to assist them in solving problems or advancing an initiative.
Any advice for new members?
Volunteer to participate on a committee, participate in events, encourage coworkers and your network to engage IFMA, and listen and learn. Attending events is great, but supporting the IFMA mission will bring even greater rewards.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like hiking, fly fishing and boating with friends and family. I work with startup companies and have participated on Boards for various organizations. I am also USCG Auxiliary A-Directorate Branch Chief for Public Affairs Promotion. I complete vessel exams, public boater education and public affairs activities.
