Now on Display: Tulsa Community College Exhibit of Sculpture!


Tulsa Community College's School of Visual and Performing Arts is hosting an exhibit of sculpture produced by undergraduate and graduate students and faculty from the University of Oklahoma. The exhibit includes several pieces by Architecture faculty Chris Morrey from his series 'Instantiations'. The exhibit runs from Jan. 23 - Feb. 29 at 908 S. Cincinnati Ave, Tulsa, OK. There will be a closing reception on Feb. 29 at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Letitia Bajuyo (bajuyo@ou.edu).

Inside the Gibbs Furniture Design Studio 


During the fall 2023 semester, senior Interior Design students designed and constructed furniture pieces as a part of Gibbs College’s furniture design studio. For the second year in a row, the course was sponsored by local furniture and design studio Henry Home Interiors.

Gibbs Faculty Awarded Grant to Work with Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality 


Regional and City Planning faculty John Harris and Charlie Warnken are part of an interdisciplinary team led by the OU Institute for Resilient Environment and Energy Systems. The team was recently awarded a $599,000 Climate Pollution Reduction Grant from the Environmental Protection Agency.

Gibbs Faculty Awarded Research Enhancement Funding to Pursue Projects


Seven faculty members from the divisions of Regional and City Planning, Architecture and Interior Design were recently awarded funding through Gibbs College’s Program for Research Enhancement. These grants of up to $6,500 are available to full-time faculty members of Gibbs College to support their research and creative activities.
