Camp Steering Committee

February 21st, 6:00 pm in Lakeport

4-H camp Steering Committee, meets once per month, you do not need to attend camp

Our 4-H staff team has expanded.

Jacki Zediker is joining the 4-H staffing team for Region 1 Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt and Del Norte Counties as a Regional Program Coordinator.

The RPC position works to help sustain, strengthen and grow 4-H programs while striving to ensure that all youth have access and opportunities to be involved in high quality programs. The RPC works closely with your local 4-H staff to enhance the role 4-H plays in the development of a qualified workforce and healthy people and communities.

Jacki also has the RPC role for Region 2 Lassen, Modoc, Siskiyou and Plumas/Sierra counties. She brings many years of 4-H experience to the position, as she was the Siskiyou County Community Education Specialist for 22 years before shifting to her regional role.

As a regional staff member, Jacki’s home office is located in Siskiyou County.

She can be reached via email at jkzediker@ucanr.edu or by phone at (530)842-2711. Looking forward to this new 4-H adventure!

When planning 4-H events and activities, the expectation is always that a minimum of two approved 4-H Adult Volunteers will be present.

Only in the event that an appointed 4-H Adult Volunteer has had an urgent matter, and it then becomes impractical or impossible for a minimum of two appointed adult volunteers to be present for the 4-H event or activity, would staff then coordinate and designate another adult at least 21 years old to participate.

Use of a non-appointed adult to fulfill these roles is to be done as a last resort, not the standard approach for staff when planning 4-H events and activities.
