They understand that success isn’t the goal.
If you think that great leaders focus solely on success, think again. Sure, huge profit margins are magnificent, but that isn’t what great leaders strive for. “Success is very rarely the goal for them,” says Grant. In fact, success is a byproduct of many other factors (like building a rapport with your workers, encouraging them to seek work-life balance, etc.) that, once combined, will inevitably achieve success.
