From 0.1% to 10% in 10 years: Social Enterprise Council of Canada and Buy Social Canada call for BDC Support for Social Enterprise to Grow
Social Enterprise Council of Canada and Buy Social Canada call on Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and other federally-funded programs providing financial and business capacity support to businesses to increase access and opportunities for social enterprise.

The recent legislative update shows that BDC acknowledges this gap in support, and that it is caused by a perceived barrier rather than by any barriers in legislation. We look forward to working with BDC and other government funded small business support organizations to include social enterprises in future funding and business capacity decisions and opportunities.
