JUMPSTART MEETS WITH STATE OFFICIALS

In January, officials from Harrisburg visited Jumpstart Philly to explore how the Jumpstart program could help address the housing shortage. We highlighted the program’s impact to date and emphasized how expanding Jumpstart initiatives across the state could boost housing production, increase affordability, strengthen the tax base, promote diverse development, and reduce blight. Additionally, we proposed several ways the state could support Jumpstart programs and developers, including funding new initiatives and collaborating with local governments to streamline licensing and permitting processes.

State officials also met with members of Northwest Philadelphia CDCs and BIDs.
