Teachers Take Center Court for Special Recognition

This past week, the Bloom-Carroll Athletic Department took a special moment to honor the heart of our school—our teachers.

During the basketball games, our senior basketball players and cheerleaders recognized the educators who have made a lasting impact on their academic and personal journeys.

Prior to tipoff, each senior had the opportunity to invite a teacher onto the court, sharing a heartfelt tribute to their influence and guidance. Their words and gestures served as a powerful reminder of the lasting influence educators have beyond the classroom.

A huge thank you to our athletic department for organizing this special evening and to our incredible teachers who make a difference every day. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to our students do not go unnoticed!

With Gratitude and Pride: Principal Pease Plans Retirement at Year's End

Dear Bloom-Carroll Family,

I am writing to let you know that after twenty years of service to Bloom-Carroll Local School District, I will be retiring at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. I have always considered it a privilege to serve the students, staff, and families at Bloom-Carroll. I began my career with the district at Bloom Elementary as the Kindergarten through Fifth Grade Principal. In 2009, the district decided to combine our grade levels creating a Kindergarten through Second Grade elementary in Carroll and a Third through Fifth Grade elementary in Lithopolis.

I was given the opportunity to develop the K-2 building and what a tremendous journey it has been. I was able to hire the majority of the staff to serve the youngest students in our community. We have grown so much not only in size, but in the knowledge of how to best serve these beginning learners.

I have been truly blessed by the lives of the students. It has been an honor to be a part of their learning. I have had so many hugs and beautiful smiles over the years that I will treasure. Students cannot be successful without the excellence in teaching. I have been surrounded by teachers and support staff that have a true calling to make a difference in the lives of our students. I know that this excellence in teaching and caring for our students will continue.

One special memory that I will take with me is our morning routine through our live announcements. Every student throughout the year comes down and leads the rest of our school community in the Pledge of Allegiance, our Bulldog Chant, and a favorite of our students, the Paw’s Laws song. It is a great way to start off the morning hearing the voices of our students. In closing, I will end this letter as I end our morning announcements, ”Everyone have a great day and remember to be the best that you can be!”

Sincerely,

Mrs. Pease
